6 Years teaching in public schools Private Praxis History Tutor 2+ years teaching AP History Courses with 60% passing rate I would love to help students experience history in a way that enables them to retain the information by making it relevant. I have had great success with AP courses as well, and would like to help them prepare before taking the course so they are more equipped to deal with the course load during the year. Often times, students being to feel overwhelmed by the amount of work they have during the year. Part of the reason I want to tutor is to help teach students strategies that help them succeed in the classroom when they have a full schedule. I am up to date with AP training and regularly discuss strategies with teachers in and outside of the district. I collaborate with english and writing teachers throughout the year to strengthen students writing skills, as history involves writing to demonstrate understanding.
