Graduated from Quinnipiac University in the spring of 2011 with a Bachelor's degree in Health & Science studies, and am continuing on with graduate school to obtain my Master's in occupational therapy.
Experience
I have had experience tutoring 5-6 grade level students in English/Writing, math, and science during a Peer Tutoring class in high school. Also worked as a volunteer at a preschool during high school, and have volunteered at the Hamden YMCA child care center within recent years. Since I am studying occupational therapy, I have taken multiple psychology, neurobehavior, and various science courses, therefore feel I have a strong background in communication, education and learning styles/techniques. I am comfortable working with others, and have had experience working in the mental health field running psychoeducational groups during academic fieldwork experiences. CPR certified.
